About Tree NWI

What we are

Tree NWI is a free referral service for homeowners and property owners in Lake and Porter County, Indiana. We’re not a tree company and we don’t send out our own crews. When you call our number, we connect you with an independent, local tree service that works in your area, whether you need tree removal, tree trimming and pruning, stump grinding or storm damage cleanup.

We built this site because finding a tree service in The Region is harder than it should be, especially right after a storm when everyone is calling at once. National directories sell the same request to several companies, and many good local outfits are small and busy. We try to keep the first step simple: one call, one local tree pro, no bidding war for your phone number.

How it works

1. You call. Call the number on our contact page and tell us your town and the job.
2. We connect you with a local tree service. Calls are handled for an independent tree service that serves your area. Calls may be recorded for quality and to make sure callers get followed up with.
3. The tree service gives you an estimate. Pricing, scheduling, insurance, cleanup and the work itself are between you and them.
4. You decide. There’s no cost to you and no obligation to hire anyone.

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell your information to multiple companies.
• We don’t charge homeowners anything.
• We don’t cut trees, so we don’t make claims about crews, equipment, licenses or insurance. Ask the tree service directly.

Before you hire anyone

Whoever you hire, through us or not: get the scope and cleanup in writing, ask for a certificate of insurance, and be wary of door-to-door crews who show up after a storm asking for cash up front.
